Community Owls
In this unit, our students will discuss the similarities and differences in various communities. Using the influence of African American art during the Harlem Renaissance, the third graders will combine lines and bold colors into their own piece for our Westview Third Grade Community of Artists.

Animal Habitats
Each third grade student will use a non-fiction book to research an animal, its food, and its habitat. They will then create a close-up portrait of the animal to draw and color in an unusual way! These are always a family favorite with some stunning contrast.
